    ③ delay Lk 18:7 μακροθυμεῖ (textually uncertain [v.l.-θυμών ἐπʼ αὐτοῖς] and difficult to interpret, but cp. Mt 18:12 for the mixture of tenses in a question) may be transl.: will (God) delay long in helping them? (NRSV; s.
